Yes, it was termed a ‘chick flick’ but, it’s the kind of character driven movie Hollywood doesn’t seem to make much today and it’s a highly enjoyable watch.

There’s no getting around it: In Her Shoes is a “chick flick” — a term that even women use, if less pejoratively than men. Three top-billed actresses dominate, several early scenes are spent rooting around in clothes closets, and the key words in the movie's title are “her” and “shoes.” But even for the disinclined of the opposite sex, this is the most enjoyable film of its type in recent memory.
